In preparation for the upcoming Union Budget, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde summoned a special meeting of all of the state's lawmakers on Monday at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister, Navneet Rana, Imtiaz Jaleel, the MIM, Narayan Rane, Poonam Mahajan, and Amol Kole were all in attendance at the meeting at the Sahyadri Guest Home in Mumbai.
The
Congress and Uddhav Thackeray-affiliated Sena MPs meanwhile chose not to participate in the Union Budget debate that CM Eknath Shinde had requested. The meeting's discussions focused on the kind of development that Maharashtra needs most, the kinds of projects that need to be carried out, and the kinds of schemes that are now lacking.
The MPs offered their recommendations and viewpoints on a variety of topics, such as the construction of a flyover bridge, a riverbank dam, a medical college, and other similar things. The Uddhav Thackeray group and Congress MPs did not attend the conference because they are unconcerned about the state, according to
BJP MP Dhananjaya Mahadik. At the discussion, all MPs were permitted, according to Mahadik, to bring up matters specific to their areas.
Amol Kolhe, an
NCP member who is also a member of the Opposition MVA, was present at the meeting. He declared, "I disagreed with my party's choice and came to the meeting to express my opinions on the Budget for my area." At the meeting, 64 state development-related issues were covered.
